Nav station & wetlocker. Low doorway to equipment room & aft cabin to right

005 is being built tough for extended ocean sailing. But her cabins are intended to bring the beauty of the forests along for the journey. Interior structures are all built of lightweight foam core, with a variety of hardwoods epoxy-veneered in place. In many places, we’re leaving the hull’s Western Red Cedar strips exposed for visual interest.  As of early 2012, we figure another 400-500 hours of woodworking in the main & fore-cabins ought to just about do it. Including questions like, “just exactly how will we blend the carbon fiber countertops in with the polished-wood look???”
